Ballard Historical Society – How the Lake Washington Ship Canal Changed Seattle @ Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse, Upper Hall
    Apr 19 @ 7:00 pm

What role has the Lake Washington Ship Canal played over the past century? Find out from author David B. Williams on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Sunset Hill Community Association hosts Ballard Historical Society and the general public to learn what drove civic leaders to plan a waterway in a city already surrounded by water. A great event for those who interested in Seattle history and the economic and environmental effects of man-made changes in our region.

David B. Williams is the author of Waterway, out this year from HistoryLink (other authors include Jennifer Ott and the staff of HistoryLink). Pre-order discount and information by the distributor, University of Washington Press. (The book will not be available for purchase at this presentation.)

David is also author of Too High and Too Steep: Reshaping Seattle’s Topography. Learn about this and other titles at the speaker’s Web site www.geologywriter.com.
