Our Open Mic is every third Friday in the Upper Hall, sign-ups at 6:15PM, show starts at 6:30! Join your neighbors and meet new friends. Share your best music, song, poetry, reading, or whatever else you do! All are welcome, free for everyone, donations appreciated.

Our poster this month is of Mighty Sparrow, a Grenadian born, Trinidadian calypso vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist. Known as the “Calypso King of the World”, he is one of the best-known and most successful calypsonians. He has won Trinidad’s Carnival Road March competition eight times, Calypso King/Monarch eight times, and has twice won the Calypso King of Kings title. Top that MC Top Hat! In Trinidad and the sister island of Tobago, they take the annual Carnival seriously, with tens of thousands of bands, people, and costumed dancers moving in a giant street parade for two nonstop days!
