Our historic Community Hall is available at reasonable rates for a variety of rentals. Previous rentals have included: musical and choral performances and rehearsals; live theater; dances; community events; book signings; art classes; film screenings; bat mitzvahs and bar mitzvahs; anniversaries; birthdays; celebrations of life; family reunions, and more!
The Sunset Hill Community Hall is located in a leafy residential area in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, with free street parking. It’s close to restaurants, coffee shops, and the Sunset Hill View Park with its sweeping overlook of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains.
Sunset Hill Community Hall is an ADA-accessible facility.
King County Metro Bus Rt. 40 serves Ballard, with the closest stop being 24th Ave NW and NW 65th St. From this stop, walk west six blocks on NW 65th St, and take a right on 30th Ave NW. Walk one block, and Sunset Hill Community Hall will be on your left, at the corner of 30th Ave NW and NW 66th St.

SHCA Rental Policies
All rentals are by-the-hour and must include your set-up and clean-up time.
Rentals serving food and beverages will incur a $150 Facility Fee. Events serving alcohol incur a $200 Event Monitor Fee (WSLCB Banquet Permit or Special Occasion License required). Recurring rentals require liability insurance with Sunset Hill Community Hall as additional insured.
One-time renters are required to provide Event Liability Insurance Policy/Rider issued by the renter’s homeowner’s or renter’s insurance company or by https://www.theeventhelper.com/. Renter must provide proof of either Social Host Liquor Liability or Special Event Liability Insurance prior to the rental date
