A weekly dance since the beginning of 1999, Waltz etcetera is a beloved Seattle tradition. It's a welcoming, noncompetitive mixed social partner dance. The music is mostly waltz and blues, spiced with a little swing, nightclub, Latin and tango. Dress is casual. Come with or without a partner.

A community of families sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement in a playful, non-performance oriented setting.
Music learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children.
Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers participating at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages.
Parents and caregivers contributing to the enrichment of their child's music environment regardless of their own musical abilities.
A new song collection every semester for three years, featuring superb arrangements of original and traditional songs in a wide variety of tonalities, meters, and cultural styles.

The beautiful and spacious dance studio is an open space for fun, exploration and connection, as feels comfortable to you and is respectful of others. There are no steps to this kind of dance. The only requirements are no talking during the dance (you are welcome to step outside for chatting), respecting other people's space and place, and being mindful of the space by wearing socks, bare feet or shoes that do not mark up the floor.

We love helping to make an impact on our local community, and we know you do too! Our events are free to attend, but since we honor the time and value of our speakers, they can be costly to produce. Our Holiday Trunk show is one of the ways that we raise money for our programming.
This year marks our 7th Trunk Show, the second year at Sunset Hill Community Club. We are thankful to have found their great venue, and we love that we are able to keep the event local in our neighborhood while supporting local vendors with so many different talents!
