September 15, 2023Third Friday of every month, sign-up at 6:30 pm.
Hello Musicians, Hope you had a great Summer enjoying the Pacific Northwest outdoors, listened to music in town and out of town, and saw a few outdoor shows.
We are starting up our fun Open Mic again, September 15th, the third Friday of the month, and will keep this going every month all winter.
We will have water, soft drinks, and something to snack on for free, with beer, NA beer, and wine for a few bucks to cover the permits. This event is open to anyone in the neighborhood, membership not required but suggested ($15) and free membership to musicians of course!
Friday September 15th, starts at 6:30 and runs until 9:30.

October 20, 2023Our next SHCA event is Open Mic on Friday October 20th, every third Friday of every month.
Come over that Friday evening and enjoy some of the really talented Ballard musicians, bands, singers, and daring poets.
We have free admission to all, (membership suggested) with free soft drinks, water, and some nice snacks. Also beer, NA beer, and white and red wine for a five bucks.
Signup starts at 6:30.

October 28, 2023Welcome to Sunset Hill Neighborhood Halloween Fun!
Saturday, October 28, 2023 3:30 – 6:30 PM
3:30 – 4:30 PM Kids Costume Sidewalk Parade
This is a great opportunity for kids and adults to wear a costume and participate in a low-key parade. We’ll have safety flags to help at street crossings, so this will be safe as well as fun! Strollers for the little ones encouraged.
The Sidewalk Parade Route: Gather at the Sunset Hill Community Building, walk west on NW 66th; take a left/walk south on 32nd Ave NW, past Picolinos to the Sunset Hill Green Market, and then back to the SHCA Building.
In case of rain, we will have an indoor parade.
4:30 – 6:30 PM Neighborhood Party at Sunset Hill Community Association Building
Lots to do for everyone – kids and adults! Hot dogs and sweet treats will be served to stave off the hunger pangs after our parade.
Kids can pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and then decorate it just in time for Halloween. Head upstairs for more fun with balloons, a fortune teller, and a not-too scary Haunted House. Take a funny picture at the photo center, chat with your neighbors, and meet a witch stirring a cauldron full of candy. Boo!
Dance to live music provided by local Sunset Hill musicians and friends. Thank you to these talented neighbors!
RSVP for the Parade and/or Party is encouraged, but not required.
