January 1, 2024A weekly dance since the beginning of 1999, Waltz etcetera is a beloved Seattle tradition. It's a welcoming, noncompetitive mixed social partner dance. I play mostly waltz, nightclub 2-step and blues; most everything I play also works for alt tango. Dress is casual. Come with or without a partner.

The beautiful and spacious dance studio is an open space for fun, exploration and connection, as feels comfortable to you and is respectful of others. There are no steps to this kind of dance. The only requirements are no talking during the dance (you are welcome to step outside for chatting), respecting other people's space and place, and being mindful of the space by wearing socks, bare feet or shoes that do not mark up the floor.

January 27, 2024The Seattle Weavers' Guild began with a small group of Seattle weavers meeting informally in homes. The group grew over time, meeting other weavers through local yarn shops. In 1937, the Seattle Weavers' Guild was founded with twenty-three members. Though the membership has grown, the goal of the founding members remains: to further interest and knowledge of handweaving in our membership and the public. The Seattle Weavers' Guild has over 350 members and is among the five largest guilds in the country. The Guild recently celebrated its 80th Anniversary!

February 12, 2024A weekly dance since the beginning of 1999, Waltz etcetera is a beloved Seattle tradition. It's a welcoming, noncompetitive mixed social partner dance. I play mostly waltz, nightclub 2-step and blues; most everything I play also works for alt tango. Dress is casual. Come with or without a partner.
Ongoing drop-in Cross-step Waltz classCross-step waltz class, 7 to 8 pm, $20 cash (includes admission to Waltz etcetera).
